The Kohler Command PRO 14Hp CH440 is a powerful engine with a maximum output of 3600 RPM, which is guaranteed by a 3-years warranty. Great looking chipper. Easy to assemble even with one person but sure would be easier with two. I love the way it is put together nice and solid. I am sure it would work nicely soon as I can get my truck to haul it to our property where it can chew lots of the brushes and tree branches. Thank you for the quick response. I am a happy customer.

Absolutely love this beast of a chipper, though 5.75 capacity is a bit of a stretch. What’s stopping the 5th star is the hour meter wire connection broke at 4.4 hours, poor design. The T handle wrench broke on the fist nut while changing the blades, not even close to doing the job. Why the manufacturer stopped short on quality where the rest of the unit is of high quality? Like I said I love this beast as I have been working it hard and have been very impressed. Unfortunately I’m off to the hardware store to purchase a tool for the blade removal.

We had a winter storm of wet heavy snow that brought down a ton of pine branches and trees. I have a smaller chipper but this required something bigger. This chipper has fulfilled my needs. Being a 64 year old woman, it was a little hard to start the first time until the gas got into the lines. It does pull quite hard. But once it took off it ran fine and I chipped up four piles of branches in no time. Can’t wait to finish chipping the remaining piles. Definitely recommend this product. Even put it together myself!

Quite heavy to move around, but heavy duty shutes makes the unit durable. The Koehler engine starts right up. The blades are 2 sided and very easy to get to change or sharpen. Has a very good thoughtful design on the machine, chewing up 4” branches is a stretch. But the wide shute eats up brush

I compared this units to many other comparable products and the price with the Kohler Command Pro engine was over $1000 lower cost with many product advantages verses comparable competitors. I love the easily removable drum blades for sharpening, tow hitch for mobility, heavy steel construction and shredder as a bonus. It was also quick for us to set up and easy to start . Very pleased with quality of the chipper. Will chip wood very quickly, making quick work of brush. Very heavy ~400 lbs. Assembly instructions are nearly worthless. Lay out all bolts and use process of elimination to assemble. Would purchase again.

I was expecting a well built durable machine after watching the walk-around video on Youtube, but seeing it in person exceeded all my expectations. I couldn’t believe how solid every part was. This doesn’t use the cheap thin metal other brands use.. it’s SOLID. That said, the instruction manual could be better. I didn’t really use it since I have experience putting stuff like this together, but someone inexperienced could have difficulty.The crate the unit ships in is HEAVY. It was placed in my truck bed using a forklift and when I arrived home, my brother and I were able to tip it over and slide it down some loading ramps without much trouble (make sure loading ramps are secure). Putting everything together went well. I wasn’t missing any nuts or bolts as others have reported. Once it was put together, I double checked the tightness of all bolts, added grease at the two fittings, filled the tires to the proper pressure, added oil and gas, and wheeled it out back, by hand, for a quick test. I was surprised how easy it was to move by hand, as heavy as it was. It’s balanced perfectly and using the handles built into the bin felt natural .As a nice bonus, all the necessary tools needed for assembly and maintenance are included. The blades used in this unit are double edged so they can be flipped over for twice the use. As if that wasn’t already enough, an extra set (2 blades!) is included. That’s 8 (EIGHT!) edges at your disposal. I can’t believe this monster is in the same price range as those ‘other’ unit’s that only have a small hole to feed branches through and use a single blade. This one has a wide bin and there’s no need to worry if the branch has a bend, or other branches shooting off it. This machine takes everything thrown at it, even leaves and small twigs, all through the same large chute. I’m very pleased with my purchase and am confident this machine will last many years.

This chipper is powerful. So far I have had no problem with it chipping whatever I put in it. One time it clogged with pine needles, but it is so easy to access the blade and chute with the hinged connections that this is not a big deal, and was easily cleared. The service from Power King has been great. On assembly, one of the bolts provided was too short, but they got me running again while they sent a replacement bolt. The second issue I had was the safety shutoff falling off. Once again they sent one out right away, and it was easy to replace. My only criticisms are these: First, it is loud. Second, it seems to vibrate quite a bit. The zerks are easy to access and I would also follow their suggestion to grease these prior to each use. The electric start and hour meter are nice features, but I wish the manual for the motor was better.

This chipper is amazing! I was close to buying another one but I decided to buy this one. The construction of chipper is solid, the blades look to be easily reversed or replaced when dull. We are surprised how small a pile is generated when chipping, its almost like some disappears into another dimension. The engine starts very easy, after a week yesterday it started 1st pull. I highly recommend using no-E gas. This chipper self feeds nicely, you can start a 15ft branch with 3in butt and walk away to get another. All in all an impressive machine, by the way I normally won’t do a review but I like this so much I had to share!
